ROSHN Waterfront Jeddah, Saudi Arabia — 2025

Role: Lead Designer
Client: ROSHN
via Gharib Art Execution: Gharib Art & Community Participants
Scale: 3,000m × 5m — Guinness World Record, Longest Ground Mural

What begins as a mural becomes a record. Stretching three kilometres along Jeddah's coastline, the ROSHN Waterfront artwork holds the Guinness World Record for the longest ground-level mural ever created — painted not only by artists, but by the residents of Jeddah themselves.

The design draws from the architectural memory of Al-Balad: the Roshan, the latticed wooden balcony that defines old Jeddah's skyline, reinterpreted as interlocking forms that speak of warmth and human connection. Bridges and staircases thread through the composition, binding figures in a playful, continuous rhythm that mirrors the promenade's own flow.

The sea runs through everything: pearl diving, fishing, cycling, football — the living rituals of a coastal city rendered in colour across three kilometres of ground.

Designed in collaboration with artist Maha Al-Sabhan. Delivered as a full-scale digital layout at exact dimensions for on-ground execution by Gharib Art.
